Mohan Singh Bagari is a retired banker who has completed his education upto 8th standard at remote village of Rudra Prayag (erstwhile Tehri Garhwal) District. He was forced to migrate Delhi for higher education. After completing his education joined State Bank Of India in 1983 and retired after 35 years on 31st December, 2018. This Foundation is formed as his commitment to serve people who are deprived of fruits of independence and development due to urban biased approach by the Central/State Governments and other institutions. Other members of our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others at their doorsteps. We take our convictions and turn them into action through our volunteers and beneficiaries. Our dedicated team meembers are committed to change or improve the existing practices for betterment of society.
Himalayan Foundation for Reverse Migration is set up on 22nd Aprill 92019 to create an institutional framework for initiating an integrated and holistic approach to address root causes of migration and removal of several bottlenecks on the path of reversal of the process. Foundation shall seek support of local residents for coming together to form cooperative institutions or collective efforts for solving problems instead of individualist efforts till date. Foundation will also seek all kind of supports from State/Central Government and other institutions for timely completion of various initiatives to be undertaken for upliftment of living standard of the rural folk. The foundation shall provide sensible solutions to rural and downtrodden communities by involving them in meaningful vocations. Our emphasis will be to work collectively for common good through cooperative movement by mobilising individuals to join hand.
